A/Prof. Keran Sundaraj

MBBS MSc (Trauma) FRACS FAOA

 

Adjunct Associate Professor Keran Sundaraj is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA).

A/Prof. Sundaraj attended medical school at Monash University in Melbourne, returning home to complete his orthopaedics training in New South Wales. He is a knee, hip and trauma surgeon with sub-specialist training in complex knee surgery. He completed a fellowship with world-renowned surgeon Professor Leo Pinczewski, a pioneer in the field of ACL surgery. Since that time, he has joined Prof. Pinczewski in partnership.

A/Prof. Sundaraj completed a Masters of Science, majoring in Trauma Surgery at the University of London. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and has been invited to present at international conferences.

A/Prof. Sundaraj is the Director of Training for orthopaedic registrars at Liverpool Hospital. He has a keen interest in teaching and is an adjunct associate professor at the University of Notre Dame.

A/Prof. Sundaraj believes in a compassionate approach, where treatment is the destination and the journey. He uses the latest technology, which includes robotic surgery, to achieve optimal results, combined with minimally invasive techniques, targeted pain control and early mobilisation. 

A/Prof Sundaraj is a partner at the world-renowned North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre (NSOSMC) and is the current Managing Partner. He is a member of the North Sydney Orthopaedic Research Group (NSORG).

Yvette Farhart

Practice Manager
Yvette Farhart ensures the smooth running of our practice, allowing our clinicians to focus on delivering the highest standard of patient care. She brings over 15 years of management experience and holds a Bachelor of Media and Communications from the University of New South Wales.
Having worked closely with Professor Leo Pinczewski for nearly a decade, Yvette brings a steady hand, sharp organisational skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. She is the quiet engine behind our practice's efficiency and patient-first culture.

Dr Jonathan Ledang

Specialist Consultant Anaesthetist
Dr Jonathan Ledang is an experienced consultant anaesthetist with a particular focus on orthopaedic surgery and regional anaesthesia. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours at UNSW and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound from the University of Melbourne. He undertook specialist training and completed a Fellowship in Regional Anaesthesia at Liverpool Hospital.
Dr Ledang previously led the Acute Pain Service at Campbelltown Hospital, where he pioneered catheter-based techniques and advanced peri-operative pain management. Known for his calm presence and clear communication, he tailors anaesthetic care to each patient’s needs. Outside the hospital, he enjoys exploring Sydney’s playgrounds with his two young children.

Vivianne Russell

Clinical Research Associate
Vivianne Russell is the Clinical Research Associate and a key clinical partner to A/Prof Keran Sundaraj. She supports patients throughout their surgical journey—from preoperative preparation to postoperative follow-up—ensuring coordinated, patient-centred care.
With a background in Biomedical Science (Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry), Vivianne began her work in orthopaedic research alongside Professor Leo Pinczewski in 1998 and has co-authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications.
She is active across both the Mater and Liverpool hospitals and thrives in the fast-paced environment of orthopaedics and trauma surgery. Vivianne finds great purpose in supporting patients and enhancing care through research and clinical excellence.

Maria Attard

Senior Medical Secretary
Maria Attard brings over three decades of experience in medical administration to our team. She manages the day-to-day operations of our Liverpool clinic with professionalism, warmth, and meticulous attention to detail.
Known for her courteous manner and problem-solving skills, Maria oversees appointments, billing, and communications to ensure patients feel supported at every stage.
When she’s not at the practice, Maria enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with family, and taking long walks to unwind.

Marissa 

Medical Administration Coordinator
Marissa is often the first friendly face our patients meet and the steady hand behind many of our administrative processes. With a strong background in medical administration, she ensures the smooth coordination of appointments, enquiries, and day-to-day clinic activities.
Her approachable nature and dedication to service help create a welcoming, well-organised environment. Marissa’s calm efficiency and warm communication style make her an invaluable part of our patient care team.
